The Crossroads Guitar Festival is a music festival and benefit concert first held in 2004 and again in 2007 and 2010. The festivals benefit the Crossroads Centre founded by Eric Clapton, a drug treatment center located in Antigua. The concerts are also intended to be a showcase for a variety of guitarists. All were hand-picked by Eric Clapton himself, who addressed the 2007 audience, saying that each were some of the very best, and those who had earned his respect.

The 2013 festival will be held April 12-13 at Madison Square Garden in New York City. Performers so far include: Albert Lee, Allan Holdsworth, Allman Brothers Band, Andy Fairweather Low, B.B. King, Blake Mills, Booker T, Brad Paisley, Buddy Guy, Citizen Cope, Dave Biller, Doyle Bramhall II, Earl Klugh, Eric Clapton, Gary Clark Jr., Jeff Beck, Jimmy Vaughan, John Mayer, John Scofield, Jonny Lang, Keb’ Mo’, Keith Urban, Kurt Rosenwinkel, Los Lobos, Robbie Robertson, Robert Cray, Robert Randolph, Sonny Landreth, Taj Mahal and Vince Gill.

Ibanex Joe Satriani Guitars: The JS10 Chromeboy and CrystalIn 1987 Joe Satriani became an endorser of Ibanez guitars. 10 years later, in 1998 Ibanez released the JS10th (aka Chrome Boy/Chromeboy) to celebrate a decade long partnership with Joe. These guitars are now the most sought after guitars made by Ibanez.

506 JS10th’s were produced in total and there are a handful of Chromeboys that were refinished by Ibanez and recorded as 507(N), there are at least 4 of these with 507b being registered right here and one documented as being unstamped. The original numbers of these Chrome boys are unknown.
